Nice antenna . I have an old 160 meter coil that my uncle made many years ago and want to know how long will a old cb whip has to be for this to work ? the coil is all sealed for the wx. Pls reply. Many thanks.

Thank you for the Joystick artical. It was the first commercial antenna that I bought. Think that it was 1966? Yes I remember it was Partridge and in the USA they were out of Longview, Texas. There were 2 matching devices, one for SWL and one for Xmitting. Will build one as my orginal is long gone. All that is left is the SWL Matcher. I might even try to make a match like orginal for it. It was very simple.

Hi Andy, just thought I would drop a note hearing you on air around 17:30 or so on 20M. Would love to actually work you on air. Couldnt get through the pileup. You are the first from England that I have heard. My skip seems to usually go right over the UK. So, it was nice to hear England.. maybe we can set up a QSO sometime.
